If you have one or more teeth missing, your dentist may fit a bridge in order to fill the gaps. The supporting teeth adjacent to the missing teeth become part of the bridge to give a strong, seamless row of teeth that look natural and are highly functional.
If you have three or more missing teeth, you may require a bridge that is supported by dental implants. When you only have one tooth missing near the front of your mouth, you can have a resin-bonded bridge with adhesive ‘wings’ to attach it to the adjacent teeth. This method requires very little tooth preparation and sometimes doesn’t require a local anaesthetic.
As with all our treatments, your dentist will explain every step of the procedure before it takes place.
